Modulating float valve

Modulating float valve

Why is modulating control valve? What is a float control valve? Is expansion valve a throttle valve? The optimum operating condition for the float controlled valve is between and open.

The Singer model 106-F-Type and 206-F-Type modulating float valves are based on the 106-PG or 206-PG main valve. They are ideal for balancing the inflow and outflow demand into the reservoir and maintaining level at the designated maximum. The valve closes drip-tight at the maximum level and modulates to maintain the tank level. The float pilot ( mounted at the liquid level) is connected to the ejector on the main valve which is installed on the tank discharge line.

In this application the float pilot is reverse acting. Such applications occur in municipal water, rural water, water treatment facilities, fuel storage tanks and fire protection systems. This action varies the pressure in the valve cover, causing the main valve to seek a new position.

The integral variable orifice automatically regulates the flow into the cover chamber until the valve reaches a position that is in direct relation to the position of the float control. The 106-F-Type and 206-F-Type non-modulating float valves are based on the 106-PG or 206-PG main valve. It is ideal for allowing normal forward flow to fill water reservoirs to a desired high level and where the pilot and valve of the reservoirs are easily accessible. The valve functions as a two position valve , either open or closed. A modulating control valve is an automated valve that is used to control the amount of flow in a system or process.

The actuators on these valves use feedback and control signals to accurately open and close the valve. Cla-Val Altitude Control Valves regulates the high water level in reservoirs without the need for floats or other devices. Recreonics carries modulating float valves used in swimming pool applications to modulate the flow of water from the main drain to the surge pit or tank. Two 8” diameter butyrate floats shall be supported on ½” diameter 3SS rods- ball position on the rod is fully adjustable within working range of the valve.

This float valve is mechanically actuated and c. The valve will accurately control the fluid level of a tank, opening at a preset low point and closing at a preset high point. The float pilot will be configured for remote liquid level control as standar and can be mounted to the float valve at additional cost. The valve allows flow into the reservoir in order to maintain the level at the designated maximum. The valve is operated mechanically by a float which rests on top of the liquid. The amount of liquid pressure the valve can shutoff against is determined by the length of the rod and size of the float.

As the level falls, the valve opens. It throttles open on a lowering liquid level and throttles closed upon a rising liquid level. They are designed to controls the level of liquids in open tank, ponds, basins, and other similar reservoirs. When the water or other liquid rises, the ball will float up and cover the vent pipe opening. This will prevent any liquids from moving up the vent line.

If the seals are working properly this application can also restrict the entrance of more liquid into the reserve tank.
