Water proofing membrane

This product is a waterproof lightweight alternative to traditional cement backer boards. A waterproofing membrane is a thin layer of water-tight material that is laid over a surface. This layer is continuous and does not allow water to pass through it. For example, on a flat terrace, a waterproofing membrane could be laid above the structural slab and below the finish tiles.

It is composed of a nominally mil thick layer of polymeric waterproofing membrane on a heavy duty, four-mil thick, cross-laminated polyethylene carrier film. A high-quality rubberized primer formulated for professional waterproofing contractors.

Used to promote a powerful bond to asphalt, concrete, masonry and metal surfaces, and features a red tint to make it easier to identify areas that have been primed. The membrane also produces a moisture barrier. Suitable for use in residential and commercial tile and stone installations.

It bonds directly to clean metal drains, PVC, stainless steel and ABS drain assemblies and can be used as a slab-on-grade moisture vapor barrier under all types of floor coverings. To help you succee TAMKO continues to raise the standard in waterproofing. Backed by years of building product experience, TAMKO offers powerful waterproofing solutions for single family and multifamily construction. Generally, new technology in waterproof membranes relies on polymer-based materials that are very adhesive to create a seamless barrier around the outside of a structure.

What are the various types of waterproofing membranes?

What is the best concrete waterproofing membrane? Why is waterproof membrane used in raft foundations? It is ideally suited to be used as a premium waterproofing or damp proofing coating on concrete block (CMU) foundation walls. This means it is extremely tear resistant, minimizes buildup at seams, is more pliable and is easier to install. TAMKO ’s below-grade system consists of a 60-mil thick self-adhering rubberized asphalt sheet membrane , primer and mastics.

KERDI was developed as a waterproofing membrane to be used in conjunction with ceramic and stone tile coverings. Tiles can be installed directly on KERDI using the thin-bed method. Other trowel-applied covering materials, such as plaster, can also be used. MEL-ROL waterproofing system is a flexible, versatile, dependable, roll-type waterproofing membrane. Waterproof Membrane and Conditioner is a flexible, pre-formed membrane designed for foundation walls, tunnels, earth-sheltered structures and more.

DMX Membranes is pleased to present its market leading drainage membranes. We manufacture a complete line of membranes used in damproofing and waterproofing applications. Bituminous waterproofing membrane is also known as a petroleum-based waterproofing system. It uses asphalt, which is commonly used in roofing applications.

Also called asphaltic waterproofing , membranes are applied in the form of an emulsion. They are commonly found underneath concrete slabs as part of a foundation. While they are effective under a low amount of pressure, if a waterproofing membrane is subject to a great amount of pounds per square inch (psi), it will.

RedGard waterproofing membrane is an easy-to-install solution to prevent water leaks through horizontal and vertical installations.

Using RedGard under floor and wall tile will create a barrier that will be undisturbed after the tile is installed and grouted. Waterproofing membranes consist of waterproof plastic, rubber, or coated-fabric materials. Water damage prevention is active from both sides of the RedGard membrane.

Our solutions include waterproof membranes , waterstops, joint sealants and protective coatings. Proofex Engage, the original mechanically bonde pre-applie below-ground waterproofing system, has the technology to achieve quick adhesion lapping. This helps contractors to quickly install large areas while maintaining tight project timings. MEL-DEK TM waterproofing system provides an excellent waterproofing membrane for bridges, parking decks or other vehicular traffic structures to be overlaid with an asphaltic concrete wearing course. If you have horizontal surfaces, more extreme conditions, or simply want a heavier duty system then you’ll want a complete waterproofing membrane for your bathtub or shower.

Ideal for repair, maintenance or new construction applications.
